Focusrite approached us to design packaging for their new product line that needed to coexist alongside their current audio interface products on the market. The packaging needed to be slick and intuitive, with simple features for the consumer to understand. We experimented with multiple concepts and created a series of icons representing popular podcast types to showcase the product's potential use cases. The final design featured product renders on a sophisticated black background, giving the product a premium sound feel. We also redesigned the onboarding process to be visible and simple during unboxing, with a simple guide located under the box lid to minimize excess packaging.
